Roy O’Connell
Roy is our General Manager.
Roy is the friendly and cheerful face that greets you at the Elm Tree and is the 'conductor of our orchestra'. He is the governor of the Elm Trees dining experience by ensuring a very professional service and attention to detail at all times.
Of course, Roy is a local boy. Almost! He hails from Glanmire. Roy studied Hotel Management in CIT and graduated with distinction.
In 1998 he then went to work with the Brennan Brothers in the Park Hotel in the lake side town of Kenmare. He got his chance to represent Ireland in a European Hospitality competition in Brussels
